EXPERIENCE:

DOC is being offered for consideration as an experienced GunDog with over 20 plus
European Pheasant Shoots (videos available) to his credit as well as multiple Flooded
Green Timber Duck Hunts (limited videos available) at the famed Greenbriar Hunting
Club near Stuttgart, AR founded by John Olin of Winchester Firearms and Owner of

King Buck. He has an impeccable pedigree with many FC-AFC’s throughout 4-5
generations.

 

TRAINING AND CAPABILITIES:

DOC has completed all of Basic and Transition Training runs multiple Land and Water
Blinds and is a willing team player who is cooperative when handling him, but by no
means perfect on complex blinds. Land Blinds have been out to 450 yards and Water
Blinds, shorter and less complex in the area of 150 yards. He is not being sold as a
competitive field trial or hunt test dog because that has not been a goal with him as we
don’t participate in those events an more. If someone was interested in running him in
hunt tests, he has the ability to move forward with that with more exposure to those
elements, but that has not been his purpose in life at this point.

 

TEMPERMENT:

Doc is a well-behaved, calm dog who is easy to manage during hunts. He’s accustomed
to kennel life and is clean and quiet in his environment. Though not a house dog at this
time, he has shown to be pleasant and well-mannered during his visits indoors. He gets
along exceptionally well with other dogs and has a gentle, affectionate nature.
He has had a history of being nervous around new people at times, but has certainly
mature significantly in that area as he’s aged and has shown that very little to none at
this time. Most of that came from not being socialized as a puppy as well as he should
have prior to his arrival here.

 

PERFORMANCE:

He’s extremely quiet and pleasant at the line, in the blind, on the boat ride in and out of
the hunt or on the dog stand in the timber. There’s been almost no need to “manage”
him during the hunts. When working during the chaos of a European Pheasant Shoot
with 8-20 shooters present, he is rock solid and has never been on the edge of
breaking, although extremely focused and locked in on the action and takes off
enthusiastically when his name is called for him to go retrieve. We have plenty of
videos available of him doing this.
 

DOC will be the perfect dog for someone that is wanting a dog to hang out with, ride in
the truck with them and see the world and enjoy a good duck or pheasant hunt with as
he absolutely LOVES birds. His calm demeanor, combined with his enthusiasm for the
hunt, makes him an excellent companion for any hunting enthusiast.
